It's easier than you think to pack light for a getaway! The key is to make sure each piece can go from day to night, opting for separates and extras that coordinate. In honor of tonight's inaugural Summer Series Event: Packing Made Easy, Christine and CeCe share their own tips for packing light (light meaning CARRY-ON people!), yet still looking utterly chic:

LIST YOUR OCCASSIONS
We find it helpful to write out all your planned activities, to-do’s, etc, to properly plan for your wardrobe needs. Do you have a dinner reservation, a day of sightseeing, catching up with old friends? Start with your special occasion outfits and let your more casual ones fall into place.
Choose one or two neutral shades for your main pieces (here, we chose ivory and blue), adding vivid accents with your accessories, so everything can be mixed and matched, even at a moment’s notice.
PACK A DRESS (OR TWO)
This is the marathon piece in any suitcase, getting so much play from dressing it down with a flat sandal and layered sweater or up with a strappy sandal and structured blazer. Our go-to style is something with a more relaxed silhouette, which can be layered or belted to oblivion.
THE CASE FOR DARK DENIM
They look oh-so much more refined than their distressed and faded counterparts and can be dressed up with statement jewels and a little heel.
BRING A CARDI
It goes with everything: wear it on the plane, over a silky blouse to tone it down for daytime or for extra warmth on an evening stroll.
MAKE THE "EXTRAS" COUNT
Jewelry takes up the least amount of room but makes the biggest impact on your outfits! We love statement jewelry, as it so easily dresses up even a classic tee and you don’t have to worry about misplacing your fine jewelry! And, never leave home without a lightweight scarf, which can act as a shawl, sarong or sun protector.
TWO PAIRS OF SHOES - THAT’S IT!
Aside from running shoes, we advocate for one flat or oxford, that becomes your walking shoe (yet infinitely more chic) and a versatile low-heeled sandal that is sexy yet wearable.
LAY IT OUT
Once you look at everything together, you may very well see duplicated items, pieces you might not need and can easily remove from your carryon!
